Somewhere, Nowhere. Photobook.

Somewhere, Nowhere is a story about a journey that begins when somewhere becomes nowhere. A journey that is cold, solitary, and intimate. A journey in which no path exists except the one that is shaped by wandering, experimenting, and allowing intuition and experience lead the way. It’s a story of hope, a story of the path that leads toward freedom, toward light. Through winter landscapes of Iceland — cold, quiet, vast, and majestic — Somewhere, Nowhere seeks to represent how, even in the cold and in the void, beauty and meaning will emerge. It’s a statement that light always returns, more colorful and radiant than ever, more precious for having been long gone. It’s a story about the journey from nowhere toward somewhere again.

An Alpine Summer.
A love letter. Photobook.

This project is a photographic memoir of warmth, distance, and the ache of remembering. Shot on film and handprinted in my home darkroom, the series captures the fleeting beauty of a colorful period of my life, which I relate to summers in the Alps. A time, place and a beauty that have since dissolved into memory. This project is both a document of that lovely period and a sincere confession: of love once shared, of youth spent abroad, of a world now out of reach.

Diary · North of India

A documentary of my trip to India in 2025. My first time in Asia. On this journey I learnt to stop chasing order and tried street photography for the first time. Street photography, and especially in India, was nothing but chaotic. Stuff is happening everywhere at every moment, and it was really overwhelming and wearying until I got used to it. I learnt from my good friend and street photographer Daniel Reschounig the magic of anticipation, observation and layering. A teaching that made me change the way I see the world and interact with it, and therefore changed –and improved– my photography.

Diary · Handprints from here and there.

I usually carry my film camera everywhere and shoot mostly everything. Here are some handprints from moments that didn't find it's way into any specific collection.

Yep, that's me. I am a spanish dude that decided to quit my architecture studies and travel the world. I headed to Oslo, Norway where I learnt how to cook awesome burritos and bought a 1999 VW van to travel the nordic countries and escape the outstanding cold and f***ing darkness I found there. After that, I traveled through several countries and lived in Madrid, Berlin and Vienna, where I slowly began to find my creative style and shape the person I am today.

I'm Alvy, a 26 year old photographer and color hand printer based in Vienna and Madrid.

There's just something special about working with film and the whole process behind it. I'm in love with the unpredictability, the texture and the raw beauty it brings to each shot. The depth and organic colours, the subtle imperfections and nuances and the natural feel that comes with color hand printing, all create a sense of authenticity and soul that is impossible to achieve otherwise. If you want unique, well-crafted images that tell a human story, I'd love to bring your vision to life. Hit me up and let's create something extraordinary.
